RULES
SAME CONDITIONS FOR ALL
RULE 1
First and foremost, the tour should be fun. Everyone rides his own pace for as long as he / she can. Riding, eating, bivouacs in groups are tolerated. Here the survival kit can be used (see below). To ensure the same conditions for all, the following rules apply:
STAY ON TRACK
RULE 2
-
keep as close to the predefined GPS track as possible, but stay on the roads
-
respect the law and private property
-
if you leave the track for shopping, lodging, bike repair or sightseeing you must return to the point where you left it
-
the same applies if you get lost
-
bypass obstacles as close as possible
CONQUER UNDER OWN POWER
RULE 3
-
no motors, no sailing, no drafting, no hitchhiking
SELF-SUPPORT
RULE 4
-
participants are self dependent
-
everyone carries all necessary equipment and food or resupplies food / equipment at commercial shops along the way
-
supply only at services that are available to all riders
-
no pre-arranged (booked before the start) services
-
Most of these rules are based on the Grenzsteintrophy Codex. And that last statement is valid here as well: who looks for loopholes, should rather ride somewhere else.
NECESSARY EQUIPMENT
RULE 5
-
a survival kit consisting of a hip flask filled with whiskey or equivalent must be carried and presented at the start (justified exceptions possible)
